Forest Springs
Accident On Rock Bay Drive
Posted on Nov 8th, 2011

Last night, Monday, November 7th about 5:00 p.m. a car traveling down Rock Bay Drive toward Reamers Road, at reportedly around 70 mph, flipped over into a transformer knocking out power to several residents and landed upside down in one of our resident's driveways. Luckily, none of our residents were injured. It is unknown whether the driver is a resident of Forest Springs or not.
This is just the latest example of people driving out of control and far too fast on Rock Bay Drive. Those of us who drive, run, walk, bike or live on Rock Bay Drive wonder when the next incident will occur. We have asked LMPD for additional assistance to address the speeding problem. At our next meeting, the HOA Board will be discussing the possibility of hiring off duty police officers for additional patrol on Rock Bay Drive.
